Today, a new bookcrossing space was opened at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute

The space was made possible thanks to the cooperation of the Oktava Group of Companies and the Nash Format and ADEF-Knyga publishing houses. Together, we made sure that the shelf was immediately filled with high-quality literature: fiction, non-fiction, research, as well as modern Ukrainian prose.
We would like to express our special gratitude to ADEF-Ukraine for the books of the Ukrainian scientist in the field of psychiatry, medical psychology and psychotherapy Oleg Chaban, which were donated on the opening day.

As noted by Tetyana Zhelyaskova, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, the university really needed such an area – as a place that inspires, unites and broadens the worldview. After all, students will be able to find not only their favorite books on the shelf, but also leave their own – starting an exchange of ideas, experience, and inspiration.

The bookcrossing project develops a culture of trust and community. A book ceases to be just a personal thing – it becomes a social object that travels, returns, changes the reader and forms a community around the content.

We thank KPI for its openness to initiatives, partners for their meaningful content, and students for their willingness to share books, and therefore meanings.
