Octava Book Hub, a project of the Octava Group of Companies, is a finalist in the Partnership for Sustainability Award

This year, the Octava Book Hub bookcrossing project became an example of interaction between private business, publishing houses and educational institutions, which creates synergy for the development of barrier-free education, reading among youth and students and is aimed at achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.

Bookcrossing is the practice of free exchange of books between readers. People leave their books in public places so that others can take them, read them and pass them on. This is not only a way to exchange literature, but also an opportunity to inspire others, share knowledge and create a network of book lovers.

The Octava Group of Companies has set itself the goal of covering as many educational institutions, universities, colleges and schools as possible, creating open libraries throughout the country. Currently, within the framework of the project, together with partners – the Ranok, Nash Format and Adef publishing houses, about 10 book zones have been established.

Partnership for Sustainability Award – the annual international award of the UN Global Compact in Ukraine and the most prestigious award in the areas of corporate sustainability and ESG recognizes the best partnership projects implemented by business, government and public sectors.
