A concert was held on the legendary piano, which was evacuated from the war zone, in the Respublika Park shopping center on the occasion of the Statehood Day of Ukraine.
On July 14, the famous composer and pianist Yevhen Khmara together with the Ukrainian singer, finalist of the show “X-Factor” and his wife Odara played on the iconic piano “Ukraine”, which was evacuated from the war zone and restored as part of the charity project of the “Octava” Group of Companies — Voice of Life. Now the piano will stand on the 2nd floor of the Respublika Park shopping center in the oasis, where everyone can play their favorite tune.
A special musical holiday took place on July 14. Those present were treated to an unforgettable musical atmosphere with Yevhen Khmara’s compositions and the performance of young artists, talented stars of the creative association “Paradise”, who are artists of the projects “Voice of the Country Children”, “Children’s Eurovision” and other talent shows! Voice of Life has already been supported by such well-known Ukrainian artists as Dmytro Shurov, Jamala, TNMK, “Druha Rika”, etc.
“Thank you to everyone who joined our project and supported it. Projects like Voice of Life restore people’s faith in a better future and preserve our national heritage. Thanks to our Voice of Life project, we managed to save another “Ukraine” piano, which we are donating to the city today and will leave here in the mall,” said Tetyana Andrianova, CEO of Octava Capital.

The first restored piano “Ukraine” was installed in KPI, for the university’s 125th anniversary. The second – presented in Podil with the participation of the first ambassador of the Voice of life project – Dmytro Shurov, a well-known Ukrainian author-performer, composer and musician, founder and soloist of Pianoboy. The third “Ukraine” is located in the Gulliver Shopping Center, and the fourth one pleases the students of the Irpin Gymnasium No. 3. Today, another cult instrument will find its home in the Respublika Park shopping center, where it will delight visitors to the center on a regular basis. Everyone will be able to play their favorite tune on the iconic instrument at any time.
Reference: The keyboard instrument “Ukraine” is an important element of the musical heritage of our country. Even after the end of its production in 2000, it remains a symbol of many events in the history of Ukraine. Voice of life is a social project aimed at restoring, preserving and promoting this authentic cultural heritage, as well as providing support to art institutions affected by the war.
An additional goal of Voice of life is to restore the well-known national brand “Piano for all” (Piano for all) and produce instruments for installation in public places, ensuring access to music for all segments of the population.
