Svitlana Tarabarova played “Ukraine” on the piano evacuated from Kherson Oblast

On October 20, the famous Ukrainian singer Svitlana Tarabarova, who was born in Kherson, played on the iconic piano “Ukraine”, which was evacuated from the war zone and restored as part of the charity project of the “Octava” Group of Companies – Voice of Life.
This musical instrument has a deep history and now, after restoration, “Ukraine” will delight visitors of the Retroville Shopping Center.

“It is incredibly symbolic for me to perform today on this instrument, because I myself am from Kherson, and every day my heart aches because of the war for my beloved city. I sincerely thank you for the initiative to revive legendary musical instruments — it gives hope and reminds us of our strength and culture,” emphasized Svitlana Tarabarova.
The concert was started by a small volunteer who collected more than 14 million UAH to help the defenders of Ukraine. The youngest soloist of the Orchestra of the Honor Guard of the Separate Presidential Brigade named after Bohdan Khmelnytskyi – Sofia Nersesyan.
Singer KARYN, who recently released a music video and a song about Kyiv, also symbolically played for the people of Kyiv on the legendary “Ukraine” piano.
The unforgettable musical atmosphere, which was helped to organize by the music Box TV channel and the Retroville Shopping Center, gathered hundreds of spectators who enjoyed the sound of the legendary “Ukraine” and the fiery performances of TARABAROVA, BURLA, POLINA DASHKOVA, KARYN and the SESTRA band.
Also, during the concert, Svitlana Tarabarova signed another “Ukraine” piano, on which the “Octava” Group of Companies collects signatures of domestic stars in order to then auction off this iconic instrument. All proceeds will be given to our defenders.
“This legendary keyboard symbol of Ukraine has not been produced since 2000, so every copy of it is priceless. Thank you to everyone who joined and supported this wonderful project. Your contribution not only helps restore the instruments, but also restores people’s faith in the future, preserving our national heritage and inspiring the younger generation,” said Tetyana Andrianova, CEO of Octava Capital.
The Voice of life social project has a double purpose. First, to provide restored tools to art educational institutions for the development of young talents. Secondly, to revive the national brand “Ukraine” and release instruments for installation in public places, so that everyone can easily join the musical culture.
Octava Capital donates the restored instruments to educational institutions and public places where everyone can sit down and play their favorite tune.
Reference: The mission of the Voice of Life project consists in the evacuation of “Ukraine” instruments from war zones and their subsequent transfer for restoration. We aim to restore these pianos to their original condition, giving them a second life.
The main aim is to present restored instruments to art schools affected by the war, allowing young talents to develop their musical abilities. In addition, we aim to provide pianos for charity concerts, promoting cultural revival and supporting communities in need.
An additional goal is to restore the well-known national brand “Piano for all” (Piano for all) and produce instruments for installation in public places, providing access to music for all walks of life.
