Music that survived the war is once again resonating for people.
A ceremonial presentation of another restored piano “Ukraine” was held in Kharkiv, which the Oktava Group of Companies donated to the city as part of the Voice of Life socio-cultural project.
This time, the instrument evacuated from Bucha received a new home in the Municipal Center for Culture and Amateur Art, where it will now serve to develop young talents and become part of the cultural life of Kharkiv.
The Voice of Life project is designed to rescue pianos “Ukraine” from hot spots and deoccupied territories, to give them back their voice and transfer them to where they can sound again – in schools, art spaces and public places. Because every rescued instrument today is not just a restored thing, but a symbol that Ukrainian culture lives on, despite all the challenges.
We sincerely thank the Department of Culture of the Kharkiv City Council for supporting this initiative and partnering in the implementation of the project.
Special thanks to all the talented students, teachers, musicians and creative teams who joined the concert program and filled this day with real emotions, warmth and inspiration.
It is a great honor for us to see how an instrument that has gone through the war today gives new opportunities to children, inspires young people and becomes part of the future of Ukrainian culture.
Voice of Life – when music is stronger than silence.
